Who We Are
Welcome to JLV Travel Agency! Established in 2017, our origins were unexpected but have evolved into a rewarding venture. Opening a Travel Agency wasn't initially part of my plans—I was content as a Project Manager and running my Amazon Store. However, fate had a different trajectory.
The journey began during my visit to the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans in 2016. A curiosity-led encounter with a psychic led to a different path outlined in the cards. Initially seeking insights on love, her vision consistently portrayed me running a business and traveling the world. Ironically, I hadn't even flown internationally at that point. Little did I know her prediction would become my reality.
As the owner of JLV Travel Agency for the past six years, I've explored 131 countries and had the privilege of guiding numerous African Americans on extraordinary global journeys. Interestingly, the psychic omitted the challenges that come with running a business!
So, why do I do it? It's simple. I understand the desire to explore new places despite financial constraints. Growing up, Disney World and summer beach vacations were distant dreams. My experiences were limited to free lunches at Douglass Park and occasional visits to the YMCA. Now, I have the opportunity to help people like you and me discover destinations worldwide. It's incredible to think that I now travel to Africa annually—an unimaginable experience.
