❤️ Thailand Had Me at Hello
Eight years ago, I went to Thailand and straight-up fell in love. The food. The culture. The vibes. The views. The people. It all felt... magical. So magical that I decided to go back — and told 8 of my friends to come with me. Simple, right? Nah. Not even close. Those 8 invited a few more. And those few told a few more. Before I knew it, I had a whole-ass group on my hands. This was NOT supposed to be all that.
I wasn’t trying to lead nobody. I wasn’t starting a business. I just wanted to turn up in Thailand and make some memories with my people.
But somehow, I ended up:
- Collecting payments
- Booking hotels
- Planning excursions
- Answering a million questions
... and running it like a CEO.
And I didn’t make one dime. Didn’t even know I could. I just wanted everybody to experience Thailand the way I did.
✨ Wait… This Was My Purpose?
Looking back, I guess this was always my purpose.
You know how they say everybody got something they were put here to do?
Well… this might be mine.
I’ve been the one planning parties, bringing folks together, finding the good spots to eat, keeping everybody vibing — since I was a little girl.
It’s just what I do.
I didn’t know it would turn into a whole business. I was just doing what came natural.
And little did I know…
That was the start of JetLife Vacations.
And to this day, people still tell me:
“That Thailand trip was the best vacation I’ve ever been on.”
🖤 Why That Cat Moment Mattered:
That trip taught me everything.
And baby —I am thinking what did I get myself into 😔
- “Why my shirt don’t fit?”
- “It’s too hot.”
- “Why we gotta wake up early?”
- “I hated my flight.”
It was giving more complaints than a Yelp page.
And then?
I got cussed out over a fake Louis bag. Yes, you read that right. I had walked the alleys of Bangkok looking for the BEST dupe I could find. Proud of myself. Thought I did something NICE.
This man? He lost it. Called me all types of names like I stole from him personally. That broke me. 😔
I shut down. Went quiet. Not because I was mad — because I was hurt.
I didn’t know what I did wrong. All I wanted was for everybody to have the time of their lives.
Instead?
- I got a suite. People were mad.
- I gave out t-shirts. People were mad.
- I threw the FIRST EVER JetLife party. Yup… still mad.
I was in my room like… Is it me? Am I the problem?
And in the middle of it all? A little black cat in Phuket started visiting my room every day.
She’d chill. Sometimes sleep there. Looking back… that might’ve been an angel. 🖤

And it wasn’t just comforting — it was symbolic.
Like, even in my lowest moment, something soft still found me.
🧠 Real Lessons I Had to Learn
- Business and friendship don’t always mix
- All money ain’t good money
- And one bad vibe can mess up the whole flow
But the biggest thing I learned?
When I’m quiet or keeping to myself… It’s not because I’m being distant. It’s because I’m nervous. Scared. or
Hurt. I’m human too. I get overwhelmed. I overthink.
Especially when all I’m trying to do is give folks the vacation of a lifetime.
Forget the money — the money will come.
I’m here for the ones who saved all year just to finally go somewhere. Who never thought they’d make it that far.
Who just wanted to feel something different.
That’s who I show up for. And if you’ve ever traveled with me, you already know:
