I didn’t get to make a speech, but if I did — this is what I would’ve said to my past guests and supporters:

I didn’t plan to open a travel agency. It just kind of landed in my lap. Imagine someone dropping off a baby lion and saying, “Here. Take care of it.” That was me with JetLife Vacations.

I had no knowledge of the business. I didn’t know what not to do. I didn’t have money. I didn’t have profits. I had nothing but faith and the will to figure it out.

And let me tell you — I’ve made mistakes. I’ve taken losses. This has been an expensive journey.

But through every high and low, my JetLife people stayed solid. You booked again, you told a friend, you showed up when I didn’t even have it all together — and that’s why we’re still here.
